Once a farmhouse and now a classic and beautifully timbered chalet, Chalet Les Choucas has wonderful views of Les Grands Montets and the Mont Blanc range. It is nestled in the delightful Alpine hamlet of Montroc at the top of the Chamonix Valley.
This mountain retreat is perfectly placed between the ski areas of Le Tour (3 minutes drive) and Les Grands Montets (7 minutes). There is parking for 2 or 3 cars and there is a ski locker in the outside porch area. In summer months there are some magical mountain walks starting right on your doorstep. What's more, less than 5 minutes walk away you will find the ski bus stop and little train station which serves the entire valley.
The cleverly designed living area is spacious and open, with the focal point being a lovely wood burner in the centre which separates the seating and dining areas. The dining area leads into a fully equipped kitchen with features such as a glass floor panel to reveal the old cellar steps below. Also off the dining area is a cosy snug for lazy evenings in front of the television. A warm and authentic style is apparent throughout.
From the large hallway you can reach the sauna (which has its own shower), the perfect way to unwind and relax after a day's skiing or hiking in the mountains. Here there is also a separate cloakroom.
Venture upstairs and you will find a beautiful double room and ensuite bathroom, plus a double/twin room with an ensuite shower room. Then two further double/twin bedrooms (one with a shower and basin, the other with a basin) plus a dormitory style room which has 6 bunk beds (and basin). There is a separate cloakroom and a separate shower room. With a further single bedroom downstairs off the kitchen, this chalet is simply perfect for a large family or group of friends looking for their own quiet space in the mountains.
Please note that due to our licensing and insurance arrangements only our trained staff may work at the chalet - please contact us if you would like details.
