Gabriel made my stay special
The hotel is really nice. The view from the rooms is breathtaking. The staff is extremely polite and empathetic, especially Gabriel, who made my trip special by helping me out and lending me a hand when I had an accident on the street and I needed some help. I will forever be grateful. The only issue is that there is no elevator and there are several steps to get to some rooms.

An excellent hotel in every aspect
We booked the Hotel La Sapiniere based on what we knew of its location, having been to Chamonix 3 previous times, and from reading reviews and without a doubt it exceeded our hopes. The location is perfect, 5-10 minutes away across a lovely open meadow used by the paragliders is the town centre, stunning views from the front facing rooms, and at breakfast time, a lovely bar / lounge area, gorgeous gardens, and even a sauna and hot tub. It is family owned and run, and the staff without exception are fab - the welcome we had late on a Friday evening was a real tonic after a stressful, long day of travelling, and the next morning we watched as the staff carefully replenished the generous and delicious breakfast items. The room we had booked had lovely views, was large, spotlessly clean and had those important things such as lots of wardrobe space, hangers, shelves, plugs and other useful, practical things which so many other places overlook. We were really sad to go home after 5 wonderful days, it is a great hotel run by great people and you'll have a great time if you book to stay here - speaking of which, when I had any questions before we left home, the response was swift and helpful. I even had my insulin stored safely in the fridge in the bar area, and I forgot to mention the drinks menu is comprehensive and very well priced. We had a bottle of wine one evening on the balcony of our room, and the hotel just asks that you pay 10 euro, they do the corkage, provide glasses and also nibbles. That is a fair and practical arrangement. Thank you for a lovely stay in a typically French feeling hotel, and we will definitely be coming back!

Great experience
We loved our stay at this lovely hotel-the room was clean and spacious with lots of storage. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. The hot tub was a real highlight and a great way to relax after a day on the slopes. The hotel is well situated-the ski bus stops right outside and it’s a 5 minute walk into Chamonix town. Highly recommend!
