Description

The Vert Lodge * * in Chamonix offers modern accommodation just a 15/20 minutes walk from the centre. We are located next to the Gaillands climbing wall and have free parking!

Bus Stop in front of the hotel to get easily to Les Houches or Chamonix City Center, or to the main ski areas !


22 rooms (renovated in 2020), some with en suite bathrooms, televisions, super WiFi and numerous USB sockets.

Our rooms with views of Mont Blanc have balconies and incredible views. We have a range of rooms to suit everyone, including family rooms, dormitories for individual travellers and the only capsule beds in Chamonix.

The hotel has a reasonably priced restaurant offering international cuisine and a range of snacks at the bar. Popular bar with televisions for sports and a comfortable lounge area.

In summer, the Vert Lodge has one of the largest outdoor cafés in Chamonix and plenty of outdoor seating.

Places to visit

Not to be missed in Chamonix Mont Blanc!

- All year round take the Aiguille du Midi cable car at 3842 meters above sea level. Its furnished terraces offer a 360 ° view of all the French, Swiss and Italian Alps.

- Montenvers train - Mer de Glace : An imposing panorama on the la Mer de Glace Glacier and the mountains. 

- Brévent / Flégère gondola: Exceptional panorama facing the Mont-Blanc range.

- Planards area: In winter, take advantage of the beginner ski area starting in the town center, and all year round a summer sledge on rails and numerous games for children.

- QC Terme : Let yourself go in this SPA area with infinity pools, relaxation and dining areas in the heart of the city.

Awful
Paid £378 for one of the very comfortable twin room for 2 nights. Paid at the time of booking in Feb. Two days before saw they'd charged me again. This was refunded. Unfortunately we were put in room 15 which was a dorm room, one bed had dirty bed linen on and the room smelt of urine. Cheap and nasty beds. Room very dark even with the light on. No one on reception so a girl working behind the bar changed the sheet.advised to speak to Barbara the following morning. Spoke to Barbara who said she would go and find out if she can move us. After 20 mins went to look for her but found the rooms locked and no one around. Multiple emails sent withno reply. Bathroom was gross aswell. Communal areas left a lot to be desired, couldn't wait to leave tbh. Pics attached shows room booked versus the room we were given

Magical
Truly wonderful, we could not believe the value for the money. We got a free drink, ear plugs, a towel, and breakfast. Plus, we had a lovely view of the mountains from our room. Would definitely recommend.

Comfortable
This place is what it is. It’s a convenient, cheap place to stay. My friend and I had a Mountain View twin room. It was basic, warm and comfortable. There was always hot water and it was clean. Breakfast has loads of options. The check in was self check in and out. The bar is great and the food is amazing. This is more of a hostel vibe and a good one at that. We will definitely return

Good basic accommodation
Vert Lodge is a good basic place to stay if you want to ski or snowboard locally. We stayed in an attic room and really enjoyed ourselves as a group of mum friends. Pros Bus stop right outside Basic but clean rooms Good breakfast options Great food in the restaurant Nice evening atmosphere Cons 25 minute walk in to Chamonix Dated/tired rooms and decor is a bit dirty For a group holiday if you don’t mind a bit of rustic charm and a bit of a hike to the town centre vert lodge is a great option.
