Welcome to Chalet Viñales!
In 1962, on their return from several years in Cuba, our grandparents put all their savings into building a house in Les Houches, in the Chamonix valley. A house named after a Cuban valley: Viñales.
For 60 years, our family home has faced the majestic landscape of the Mont Blanc range. Just outside the village of Les Houches, you'll find a peaceful setting surrounded by trees, facing the majestic Mont Blanc range.
The chalet is built on three levels, with each floor offering its own moment of relaxation and leisure.
The bedrooms are located on the first floor for greater privacy during your stay. We offer 3 double rooms with breathtaking mountain views: the "Verte", the "Toile de Jouy" and the "Bibliothèque" are ideal for couples or lovers of large beds. The "Dortoir" with 4 bunk beds and 2 single beds will delight families or groups of friends. The "Papillons" offers a cosy refuge for solo travellers.
From the period when it was built, in the 1960s, we have retained the vintage charm: the wood panelling, the large shared spaces, the furniture from our grandparents, a certain idea of comfort and modernity. It's a timeless setting, far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Our family home has been renovated for greater comfort since 2021: bedding replaced, bedrooms refurbished, roof insulated and windows replaced, heat pumps installed for more environmentally-friendly heating, fibre connection, kitchen refurbished where host Julien will be cooking up some tasty treats for you.
Whether you're a keen hiker, a keen skier or just looking for some peace and quiet, Chalet Viñales will meet all your expectations.
