Description

The Pointe Isabelle hotel, located in the heart of Chamonix, finds its origins in a landmark adventure of the valley alpinism history. Isabella Straton signed the 1st winter ascent of the Mont-Blanc in 1875, with her local guide who will become her husband. In homage to this sporty and reckless grandmother, her granddaughter opens later this hotel and gives it her name. This epic is found throughout the hotel.

Great hotel

Great central hotel, 5star exceptionally clean, with great breakfast, big rooms and very relaxing lobby

Great Hotel in Chamonix worth every penny!

This was the ideal location to stay - so close to the main walking area of town (2 min.), yet off the main street so it was quiet at night. The front desk staff were AMAZING! They couldn't have been any friendlier or more helpful. Also, our room had a balcony and an exhilarating view of the mountains all the way to Aiguille du Midi. There is even a grocery store across the street, though they have a bar/restaurant inside. They also can store your skiing equipment or luggage. Just all in all a great experience.
