The Pointe Isabelle hotel, located in the heart of Chamonix, finds its origins in a landmark adventure of the valley alpinism history. Isabella Straton signed the 1st winter ascent of the Mont-Blanc in 1875, with her local guide who will become her husband. In homage to this sporty and reckless grandmother, her granddaughter opens later this hotel and gives it her name. This epic is found throughout the hotel.
Completely renovated and then extended in 2019-2020, the hotel offers 72 neat rooms, most with balconies.
The very friendly restaurant with large bar, proposes a brasserie-style menu.
The sauna, partially glazed and on the top floor, offers a unusual view over the rooftops of Chamonix.
