The Chalet-Hotel Les Campanules welcomes you in the heart of the Mont-Blanc mountain range, on the southern side of Les Houches village, 8 km away from Chamonix. On the edge of the forest, you will enjoy a quiet and bucolic environment, with a panoramic view of the entire mountain range.

The view from the hotel on the Mont Blanc area is really scenic !

In winter, you can get to the Les Houches slopes for free using the hotel’s shuttle service !

Its 43 rooms, both authentic and contemprary, can accommodate from 1 to 4 people. The rooms facing Mont-Blanc have a balcony. The ones on the forest side guarantee absolute calm. An apartment for 6 people completes this offer.

The restaurant with quality home made cuisine and the small wellness area enliven a revitalized stay.

Not to be missed in Les Houches:

- In summer or in winter, take the Bellevue cable car or the Prarion cable car. You will discover breathtaking landscapes facing Mont Blanc.

- Merlet Animal Park (summer): Situated at 1500m, the Merlet Animal Park enjoys an exceptional southfacing location with a breath-taking panorama of the Mont-Blanc massif.

- Chavants leisure area: for short walks or a picnic. The Chavants lake offers an unobstructed view of the Mont Blanc massif. In summer (climbing wall, fishing, petanque, children’s games, rope climbing frame). In winter (cross-country skiing, snowshoeing route).

Relaxing, Tasty, and Comfy Base Camp at Les Campanules

My stay at the Hotel Les Campanules in Les Houches was amazing. The views were incredible, the bed was comfy, and the breakfast was fantastic. I especially enjoyed the local cheeses served at breakfast. The location is super convenient from the road, the room felt bigger than many European hotels I've stayed in, and it was clean and quiet. All in all it's a great value and I would definitely stay there again when I am in town.

A hidden gem with the best views of Mont Blanc!

We stayed for three nights to ski with a guide, and it was the perfect place to both prepare for the day and retreat to after long hours on the mountain. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and genuinely authentic. The new owners and the team go above and beyond to make you feel at home, with a level of friendliness that’s rare to find. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and full of charm, perfectly matching the alpine setting. Waking up to views of Mont Blanc and a killer croissant was a highlight in itself. The food was another standout — simple, delicious, and clearly made with care using quality ingredients. The breakfast and dinner/bar experience were unexpectedly good for a two-star hotel. What really sets this place apart is the overall experience: relaxed, personal, and unpretentious, yet thoughtfully run in every detail. It feels like a true mountain retreat rather than just a hotel. We’ll definitely be back — and next time for longer!

Great stay

This hotel is in a fantastic location and the views are absolutely out of this world. The rooms are basic and could do with some TLC however the views really are breathtaking. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The lounge areas in the hotel are plentiful and relaxing. The walk into Les houches really wasn’t as bad as we expected and we did it each night. The location and proximity to the train station is great for travelling into chamonix . We would highly recommend this place and hope to be back in the future.

Very nice stay

I stayed here for 2 nights in August and had a great stay. The hotel looks very nice and has incredible views. Check in was easy and straight forward and the room was spacious with a great balcony. We ate at the hotel restaurant the first evening and they prepared us a really nice vegetarian meal which we ate outside. Everything about the hotel is really nice and we had a great stay.
