The friendly and family Arveyron hotel * * * is only at 5-minute drive from Chamonix (2.5 km). Its privileged and quiet location, in the Bois du Bouchet, at the foot of the cross cuntry slopes, makes it a great place to revitalize.
You will be also at less than 500m from the departure of Flegere Cable Car to enjoy alpine skiing ! The restaurant provides snacking solutions (pizzas etc...)

A nearby bus station allows you to get to town center or alpine slopes.

Its 32 rooms, some with balcony, are cosy and exude a real mountain spirit.

Not great
2km out of town but looked like a nice spot and relaxing. Best thing is there are 2 close restaurants, but the "hotel" is far from good. Staff on reception were both outside smoking on arrival and couldnt have been less interested in us. Once in our room (above basically a backpackers dorm...) we found the comedy in the fact there was only one wall plug and the kettle could only be plugged in if it was on the floor as way to short a lead. Room was less than clean and the bathroom was disgusting with black mould in the shower and ypu could only sit on the toilet if the shower door was open it was so small. Bar was open in the evening but very limited options and staff didnt know how to make even basic drinks Not recommended

Terrible hotel
Bank cards stolen from room. Far away from anything. Staff were not helpful in any way. Would not recommend to anyone. Total waste of money. Luckily I had family to help. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Out of the way but lovely
This hotel is definitely a bit out of the way if you are visiting Chamonix but the complimentary bus stops on the road outside. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. It has great access to some lovely walking routes. The rooms are simple but clean and serviced every day. Maybe check what room you’re in if you are a very light sleeper as the road and railway line are nearby.

Not the best stay :-(
When we finally found the open house in the middle of nowhere we arrived at Reception to find it closed, we arrived at 2pm and on there website states early check in for 25euro which we where prepared to pay to be told that no one comes in till 4pm! So early check is was not an option! We went away and come back at 4pm and successfully checked in but to my surprise had to pay another 50euros room secure fee!(Not stated online) the Bar was closed when we arrived back and we asked what time it would reopen and told it will not be and is only open 7-3pm!We said ok but we could we get some water as there was none in the room! No kettle nothing in your room! To be told we are not able to buy water!! The receptionist words were “ you have a tap in your bathroom!!!” No food or drink available at all in the afternoon and evening! Evening though online states food all day!! And Baring in mind your around a 20 min bus ride from any shop at all!!! Could have at least got a vending machine in! Room was small with a tiny tv and not 1 English Channel! pillows where yellow, and the sheets wasn’t far off, it was dusty and very dated, beds where comfy I would say that! No bin in the room and No heating! In minus weather!! and to top it off No local buses after 8.30pm and taxis from Chamonix centre to open house is a flat rate of 20 euro! no nearby diners so had to travel to town everyday ( completely pitch black 5 min walk from hotel to bus stop also) and taxi home as we didn’t want to sit in our room from 8pm looking at 4 walls! With that also the buses are extremely inconsistent!! One evening at 5.30pm we waited 1.5 hours for a bus to have 1 drive past as was full and had to wait again! To top the holiday we where woken every morning by the hover banging the door at 8am! Ski in & out is a mission too as it’s completely flat! Not recommended for family’s in my opinion, To add though the 2 gentlemen that run the place are great! Very helpful! Thanks guys! Just a shame about the hotel it’s self!
