HOTEL DE L'ARVE ***

Part of our TMB accomodation and this was stunning. Room with a balcony overlooking the river and all the facilities were great. Breakfast was nice enough and staff were fantastic. Luggage storage available and location right in the middle of restaurants and bars.

What truly set this hotel apart from the rest was the staff. The front desk team was incredible; despite being constantly busy, they never hesitated to go the extra mile to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Our room was perfectly situated beneath Mont Blanc and within walking distance of all the top sites in Chamonix. We loved sleeping to the sounds of the Arve River and enjoying wine and cheese on our balcony. Rick Steves was right, this place is a gem. A special thank you to Amber and Sam for being so accommodating and making our stay truly memorable for our 10th anniversary.

This place is just beautiful, and very handy to shops and restaurants, yet a nice distance from the noisy bars. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff and given a nice family room which was ideal for us with a balcony looking over the river and views of the mountains. This Hotel has an amazing bar and lounge area, and a massive shout-out to Sam on the bar and reception who was great to chat with, and made us feel so very welcome. Sam is a credit to the hospitality industry and clearly enjoys her job. Our room was very comfortable, and the bathroom clean - what I really liked was the separate toilet and bathroom. A nice gesture was the complimentary selections of food in the afternoons. If I can find my way back to Chamonix in the future, I would stay in this hotel again - without hesitation.
