The Vallée Blanche is first and foremost a magical setting in the heart of Chamonix's snow-covered peaks! It's also an exceptional off-piste ski run of over 20 km in the heart of the Mont-Blanc massif. So if you're a good skier and comfortable on all types of snow and terrain, go for it!

Meeting point: Ski set Aiguille du Midi sports store
Meet your guide at 8:00 am at the Ski set Aiguille du Midi sports store.
Take the Aiguille du Midi cable car up to the finish at 3842 meters.
Equipment and technical briefing before setting off on the itinerary: you put on crampons and prepare for the descent of the Aiguille du Midi ridge
(the ridge can be tricky for those prone to vertigo).
️ Ski or snowboard down the Vallée Blanche (mix of 2 disciplines possible). This descent can take between 2 and 5 hours, depending on snow conditions, weather and your level. The guide will choose the best itinerary according to all these parameters.
⛷️ Return to Chamonix on skis, snow conditions permitting, or take the Montenvers train back down to the resort.
NEW for 2024: no need to climb the 500 steps! The new gondola lift is now open to skiers!
Technique:
You must master the fundamentals of :
- control your speed and trajectory
- follow a defined itinerary
- make moderate-speed turns and tight turns at low speed
- master snowploughing
- know how to make controlled skids.
Conditions of participation :
- If, on the day of your outing, the guide deems your level to be insufficient and a descent by ski lift has to be organized, no refund of the service will be considered.
- In the event of cancellation by the guide (weather conditions, snow cover, cable car closure, etc.), you will be offered another option.
