THE VALLEE BLANCHE FROM AIGUILLE DU MIDI
The most legendary and majestic glacier hike in Chamonix allows you to cross the Vallée Blanche and Géant glacier between l'Aiguille du Midi and Helbronner to finally reach Italy.
Reaching an altitude of 3400 meters you will see an exceptional panorama of the most beautiful French and Italian summits.
Typical programme for the day :
-Meet up at the bottom of the Aiguille du Midi cable care, you will then meet your mountain guide, small briefing then get into the cable car to arrive up the top at 3842 meters altitude.
-Climb down the snowy ridge equipped with crampons and roped up to reach the glacier
-Cross the Vallée Blanche and Géant glaciers
-Cross between the seracs, and climb up then on the Italian side up to Helbronner point.
-Incredible view, on the Italian side, of the Cervin, the Mont Rose, then return to Aiguille du Midi in the Panoramic Mont Blanc ski lift and return to Chamonix in the cable car.
The program will be adapted depending of the glacier conditions.
Required level : Good physical condition demanded. Careful, you will have to climb down the ridge of Aiguille du Midi which can be impressive if you are afraid of heights. You will however be roped up with a guide and another person.

These rates do not include:
-Your personal belongings
-A valid lift pass for Aiguille du Midi cable car (81€) + one way ticket for Panoramic Mont Blanc cable car
NECESSARY EQUIPMENT :
- Technical equipment : 45 Litre backpack, crampons, walking pole, ice pick, mountaineering boots, climbing harness and a helmet (these items can be rented at our partner sport store : Sanglard)
- Clothing : hiking pants, fleece jacket, windproof jacket, gloves...
- Additional equipment : Sunglasses, sunscreen, food and drinks.
